Essentials Invoice Limit after Migration

Hello everyone,

 

Just signed up for an essentials subscription for my small business. I typically create no more that 5 invoices per month so the essentials was a good fit for me. I was coming from MYOB Accounting that I was running on a windows vista VM that needed to be sent out to pasture. The migration service from MYOB took place over a weekend and all of my data was in the essentials dashboard etc.

 

Anyhoo, I went to create my first invoice and the system prevented me from doing that with a messgae "0 Invoices remaining this month".

 

This is not good as I have not created a SINGLE invoice inside essentials. Those invoices that came with my old company file are being counted towards my essentials invoices this month!!!!! The upshot being that I cannot create another invoice. Outrageous I think. The attached file is a image of the sign up screen that clearly states that I can 'Create 5 Invoices per Month'. There are no conditions associated with this offer. As it stands I cannot even create one invoice per month. The 'help' desk as recommending I upgrade to the unlimited invoices plan, which is $40pm, to get around this. How ridiculous is that ?

 

As it the product is unusable for me. There must be thousands of people in the same boat ! How many people are starting online from scratch without a company file and historical invoices etc ?

 

I'm considering asking for my money back and moving to a competitor, this is a joke of a product.
