RE: Running Balance in MYOB Essentials

Hello All;

 

Sorry in advance for being long. I scan the MYOB Community for any information I can to help me on my quest as a bookkeeper but I am stuck.

 

I have two employees having deductions taken out of their payroll each week to pay for monies spent on business card(s). I am not sure if I am recording them appropiately though. 

 

Employee 1 (Owner) has both a child support payment and personal deductions being taken out of their pay. The CSA payment is recorded through Spend Money, but not the personal deduction. 

 

Employee 2 has $20 taken out of their pay to go towards petrol card that is through business. Petrol Card Invoice is paid by business so is recorded as a Purchase. Employee 2 is essentially repaying a 'loan', but i haven't recorded it as such - am unsure what to do in this instant.

 

As all deductions/credit comes out of/goes into the Payroll Deductions default 2-2800, I unfortunately can't see who's paying off what. I tried doing a Journal Entry, but it needs to balance out. Am I somehow able to do a Running Balance in MYOB Essentials - or am I just recording the information wrong?
