Paye - tax not calculating on 0.25 hrs

When doing a pay run for my contractors  who haven't worked the standard hour,  e'g 6.25 or 6.75hrs   the tax doesn't calcualte the o.25 or 0.75 portion of their pay.   They are all on WT,  has anyone else had this problem or able to assist me on this?
