I have recently taken over a treasurer role and am in the process of setting set up on MYOB essentials - still on free trial period right now if taht makes a difference.
Previous treasurer had their own version of MYOB, I'm assuming actually on the machine, not online and has sent me a .myo file when I asked for the previous data as I thought it would be as simple as importing that data to get started. However that file doesn't work when I try to import? I don't know what version of MYOB they used.
So any ideas - what do I need to do or is it easier to just give up and start again from scratch ( if so can I go back any earlier than 1 April 2017 for opening balances?).
