Subscription Cancelation - Over 12 months old

I am absoluetely appauled by the service I have receieved by MYOB.

I called up and cancelled my subscription over 12 months ago but due to the lack of quality of workers in the call centre and their lack of ability to speak clear english my subscription wasnt cancelled nor did the 'employee of the year' put notes down any notes on my file to state that I have cancelled my subscritption.
So today once I finally spoke to someone after being on hold for 3 hours and transferred from department to depatrment and having to explain myself OVER AND OVER AGAIN because yet AGAIN no one put file notes on the system I was advised that due to nothing being noted on the system 12 months ago I will not be refunded for the the charges as there was no 'proof' of my cancellation. All due to a MYOB worker not doing THEIR OWN JOB properly. I now am out of pocket $540 and  It  apparently doesnt matter that there is no active bank accounts linked to my MYOB account nor has it been used in over 12 months, MYOB wont refund my money for a serivce I HAVE NOT USED! its disgusting and its robbery!

I will NEVER reccomend MYOB to anyone!
